HOLIDAY HOUSE

La Montagnola is located in Torri in Sabina, in the province of Rieti, a few kilometers from Rome. Its position, overlooking the Sabina, will amaze you. In the middle of the countryside and from our garden you will get to enjoy magnificent sunsets on Mount Soratte. Here at La Montagnola you will forget the chaos, to concentrate on the song of the cicadas in summer, with the wind from the wood cradling you.

LA CASA DEL TARTUFO

La Casa del Tartufo, at the edge of the wood,is a cozy 38- square meter independent apartment, equipped with a kitchen, TV and Wi-Fi. Suitable for a weekend or for a longer stay, it offers privacy despite being part of the main farmhouse.

A large window wall overlooking the lawn in front of the house and the valley around A terrace with table and chairs to dine in summer, and above all the two-person Jacuzzi that can also be enjoyed in winter under the stars.

The apartment is equipped with a cast iron wood stove and heating, a barbecue is at your disposal in the garden, a reading / meditation corner in the woods, the nest for men and the genesa for the spirit; swings, hammocks, a punching bag and gloves.

Breakfast is included.

We are very affectionate and grateful to the nature that surrounds us, and for this reason we are particularly attentive to the waste we produce, as we try to have the least possible impact on the environment. We also ask you guests to be careful, we will help you with many tips on how to shop for fresh products and avoid the production of unnecessary waste.

WHAT TO DO DURING YOUR STAY AT LA MONTAGNOLA

The woods offers the opportunity to take lovely walks or to follow the marked paths leading to the Roman cistern, to the Castle of Rocchettine from the 13th century AD and to the Montagnola Cross. You will not need a car, as you can walk to all of these destinations, along the paths that we opened and maintain, keeping them clean and easy to walk for anyone, beginners or experienced walkers. –

The Fortress of Rocchettine was built – together with its twin tower in Rocchette – in the thirteenth century to guard the road that connected the city of Rieti with the Tiber Valley. The river at that time was an important communication route between the Sabina and Rome because the majority of the goods and materials were carried on its waters. Today Rocchette is still inhabited, even if it is a very small village in the Sabina. Rocchettine instead is a ghost village, now abandoned, but what remains of its fortress has an extraordinary charm.

The apartment is near our truffle ground, which our guests can visit with our trained dogs. You can also take part in our truffle hunting experience with our trained dogs, the English Cocker Spaniels. –

EATING AT LA MONTAGNOLA

Upon reservation, it is possible to have lunch or dinner at the agritourism and carry out some of the many activities in the area. We have many tips to give you on places to visit, restaurants to try, local farms to go grocery shopping.
